A rotation is a circular movement of an object around a center (or point) of rotation . A three-dimensional object always rotates around an imaginary line called a rotation axis. For example,EARTH ROTATES AND DAY AND NIGHT COMES.Revolution means the same object moves from one place to another in a defenite path which does not change. For example,EARTH REVOLVES AROUND THE SUN.                                                                                                                                                                Hope this answer helps you.
