Hello
I am giving you the basic difference between sexual and asexual reproduction-------
Asexual Reproduction
Number of organisms involved=> One parent needed
Cell division => Cells divide by Fission, budding , or regeneration.
Advantages => Time Efficient; no need to search for mate, requires less energy.
Disadvantages => No variation
Evolution => There is very little chance of variation with asexual reproduction. Mutations in DNA can still occur but not nearly as frequently as sexual reproduction.
Number of offsprings => produced two(minimum) or more than two
Sexual Reproduction--
Number of organisms involved => Two
Cell division => Cells divide by Meiosis TypesBudding, vegetative reproduction, fragmentation.
Advantage => organism is more protected ,Variation, Unique.,
Disadvantage => In case the parent has a genetic disease, offspring does too.Requires two organisms, requires more energy.
Evolution => Sexual reproduction leads to genetic variation in new generations of offspring.
Number of offsprings => Maximum Two.
I hope helps you
