Sign Up - It is used when you want a user to accept a certain thing/content that you will be sending out regularly to everyone who ‘signs up’ with you. E.g.: Email Subscription, it is something that can be started by signing up. Once a user signs up, he/she will receive whatever you send regularly. This term is also used to register a new user on the website. Enabling them to use the log-in/sign-in button next time when they visit the website & interact on the website.

Sign In: This is used when you want to show a user-specific data. A user who didn’t sign-in can view generic data on your website. But once they sign-in, they will see specific data only. E.g Facebook, Flipkart, Net Banking, etc. Once user signs-in they will see specific data only.
