Both are same,
A genuine confusion for beginners
But keep in mind positive integral power of any Trigonometric ratio is written in two ways -
FOR EXAMPLE -
sin^n(x)
Where n is any integer
And,
(sinx)^n
Both are same and needed to be same
But one more genuine confusion for beginners is -
sin(x^n)
Here angle is in powers
But Trigonometry ratio is not in power
Finally last confusion,
sin^(-1)(x) and (sin(x))^-1
Here first one is inverse Trigonometry which you will study in class 12th only
So don't get confused
Second one is just 1/sinx
