Skeletal Equation :

1. The number of atoms of each element is not same. 2. These equations are needed to be balanced.

3. Mass is not same on the both sides of equation.

4. E.g. Mg + O2 → MgO

Balanced Equation :

1. The number of atoms of each element is same.

2. These equations are not needed to be balanced.

3. Mass is same on the both sides of equation.

4. E.g. 3Fe + 4H2O → Fe3O4
