Centre of mass is the point at which the distribution of mass is equal in all directions and does not depend on gravitational field While as Centre of gravity is a point at which distribution of weight is equal in all directions and depend on gravitational field

Center of mass is the point in the body or a system of particles where the mass of the whole body seems to be concentrated. It is found by taking the weighted average position of the mass.

A body can be balanced by applying a force through the center of gravity.

Definition:

Center of mass:- it is the weighted average position of mass in a body or a system of particles.

Center of gravity:- It is the point in a body where the net torque due to gravitational forces is 0. Center of gravity is the point where the weight of the body acts
