In glass slab , the emergent ray is parallel to the incident ray. The perpendicular distance between these two rays is displacement.

In prism, there is no displacement . The two rays are not parallel to each other. But there is an angular deviation.

The emergent ray is at certain angle to the incident ray. The angle is angle of deviation.

In slab displacement is in length unit.

In prism deviation is in angle unit.

Hope it helped.
