What is the difference between the perimeteres of two concentric circles is 66. find the difference between radius ?

The Perimeter of cicle is given by P = 2πr.

since the circles are concentric i.e. shares same centre the difference of the perimeter can be given as

P₂ - P₁ = 2π(r₁ - r₂ )

⇒ 66 = 2π(r₁ - r₂ )

⇒ 66 = 2(22/7)(r₁ - r₂ )

⇒ (66/22) = (2/7) (r₁ - r₂ )

⇒ (3×7) = 2(r₁ - r₂ )

∴ the difference in the radius is given by

(r₁ - r₂ ) = 21/2

∴ (r₁ - r₂ ) = 11.5 units
