tortoises live on land, while turtles live in the water .this is the major difference between them even though they belong to the same group.
a totoise can live upto 80-150 years. The oldest one lived for 326 years !!!
a turtle can live 20-40 years. The oldest one lived for 86 years !!
another common one for both of them are the shells.both of them have a protective shell covering.
for a tortoise ,the shell will be heavier.
for a turtle it is usually light in weight.

ii) mostly fat streamlined shell
iii) Turtles are omnivorous
