Answer:

A true friend is said to be the one who stands by one in both happy times and troubles. He/she would be supportive, guiding and compassionate to one, even critical of one if required for one's well-being. On the other hand, a flatterer is fickle-minded and an opportunist.

Answer:

flattering friends are like shadows, who follow you in the sun, but leave you in the dark. A flatterer does nothing but praise an accompany you for materialistic needs such as wealth, recognition etc. they praise you a lot, but not sincerely. And when what they require is lost, so are they. Flatterers may be around when they think you are cool, but on the other hand, true friends are with you even when they think you are a fool! A true friend will cross all limits to help you. If you have any problem, they will not be satisfied until they help you solve it, and if you are sad, so are they. They will always help you in need and share your grief, not considering your wealth or fame. These are the differences between a flatterer and a true friend.
