What is the difference between unitary form of government and holding together federation.
It seems same to me.
Plz differentiate.

federalism is a system of of government in which the power is divided between Central authority and various constituent units of country and Unitary system has other one level of government or subunits with her subordinates of Central Government.
2. In federalism central govt.is answerable to people.but in Unitary system central govt. Is not answerable to people.
3. Federal government ex.
Us, Australia.etc.
Unitary government ex.
Scotland, china etc.

●in the unitary form of government : central government reign supreme, powers are distributed to the federal units as per the decisions of the central government.
●this means that in unitary form , central government's decision is final and supreme.

●in the holding together Federation : federal governments have equal sovereignty as the central government and the central government cannot change the powers of the federating unit.
●this means that in holding together Federation, the Federations hve their own power and central government is not supreme.
