Universal adult franchise refers to every citizen who is of 18or above 18 years of age has a right to irrespective of caste, color, sex, creed, literary and wealth.
But universal suffrage refers to small number of adults who are declared as incapable for right to vote because they are not mentally fit or they are criminals. But in older times women also have no right to vote

Answer:
Universal suffrage (also called universal franchise, general suffrage, and common suffrage of the common man) gives the right to vote to all adult citizens, regardless of wealth, income, gender, social status, race, ethnicity, political stance, or any other restriction, subject only to relatively minor exceptions.
