✓ US : This stands for United States. Meaning: a group of states united to form a nation.
Since there are no other unions all over the world other than America (USA), it is the same as USA.
✓ UN : This is a completly different term. It is a league of nations that was established on October in the year 1945. It is formed to maintain peace among the joined nations.
Our India, is a founding member of the UN.
