What is the difference between volatile and non volatile substance?

volatile substances can evaporate easily but non volatile substances cannot evaporate.
eg camphor is volatile but wood is non volatile

A volatile substance undergoes sublimation.eg: camphor
A non-volatile substance does not undergoes sublimation.Eg:salt
Sublimation:A process by which a solid directly changes into gas.
