what is the difference btw. regular and diffused images

the image formed by a smooth or shiny surface is sharp and clear.

but when an image formed by dull or rough surface the image formed is diffused or bluer or not visible clearly..

regular reflection means when all the parallel beam of light fall on smooth surface it is known as regular reflection . smooth surface can be mirror or anything else.
diffused reflection means where all the parallel beams of light fall on rough or dull surface it is known as diffused reflection
