In sense of drving and traffic, overtaking and crossing is described as follows.....
Overtaking- When a car is moving in front of you,and you speed past the car from the right side and leave it behind,it is called overtaking.In many countries,overtaking in busy roads is a criminal activity and can result is financial fines.
Crossing-Crossing, here is the sense in which a person crosses a road through zebra crossing on a suitable signal or it can also be describes in a middle path in which cars are coming and going from all four sides and though they are coming and you have a red signal,you cross through them.This is a serious foul and it is fineable and can also result in accidents.
