concave mirror basically caves out. the slivered surface is on the outer side of the mirror
convex mirror has the silver lining on the inside of the spherical surface
convex mirror has the silver lining on the inside of the spherical surface

The reflecting surface of the concave mirror is bulged inwards. But the reflecting surface of the convex mirror is bulged outwards.
