what is the differences between vacuum and medium

vacuum is a reason of space that contains no matter.
and medium is the nature of the surrounding environment, example-
solid, liquid, gas ,vacuum, etc

vacuum is a region of space that contains no matter while medium is the nature of the surrounding environment, eg solid, liquid, gas, vacuum, or a specific substance such as a solvent. A vacuum is an absence of matter.
