what is the different between direct and indirect speech and passive and active voice?

Direct speech is used to convey something in the speakers words. Indirect speech is used for reporting something that is to tell someone about a coversation which has taken place in the past

Active voice is used when the subject is more important than the object . Passive voice is used when object is more important than subject.
