SOLUTION :

Meristematic tissues are responsible for the primary and secondary growth of the plants whereas permanent tissue is responsible for various growths. Meristematic tissue has dense cytoplasm with prominent nucleus whereas permanent tissue has thin cytoplasm with normal nucleus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

PLANT TISSUE

plant tissue that has completed its growth

and differentiation and is usually incapable of meristematic activity.

TYPES OF PLANT TISSUES

Epidermis

Vascular tissue

ANIMAL TISSUE

Animal tissues include epithelial tissue, connective tissue, muscletissue and nerve tissue. Plant and animal tissues are used in traditional technology, medical technology and cloning processes.

Answer:There are two types of permanent tissues- Xylem and Phloem.

Explanation:-

•Xylem conducts water and minerals whereas phloem conducts organic solutes for food materials.

•Conduction is mostly uni-directional in xylem but in phloem conduction maybe bi-directional.

•Conducting channels are tracheary elements in xylem are tracheids and vessels whereas in phloem conducting channels are sieve tubes.

•Components of xylem includes tracheids, vessels, xylem parenchyma and xylem fibres. Components of phloem include sieve tubes, companion cells, phloem parenchyma and phloem fibres.

•In addition to conduction, xylem provides mechanical strength to the plant whereas phloem performs no mechanical function for the plant.
