Answer:
Dear student,
Given below are the major differences between astronomical telescope and compound microscope:
1) the microscope is meant to magnify very tiny objects, whereas a telescope makes the distant objects looks closer(which are though very large, but too far to view with naked eye).
2) the telescope makes an inverted image while microscope gives the erect image.
3) In construction, the compound microscopes are comparatively smaller,as compared to astronomical telescopes which are very large.
4) Technical difference:
Compound Microscope
Astronomical Telescope
Objective lens has smaller focal length, than the eyepiece
Objective lens has larger focal length than the eyepiece
Distance between the objective lens and the eyepiece is greater than f +f
Distance between the objective lens and the eyepiece is equal to f +f
Hope that satisfies your query
Answer:
Optical telescopes use polished mirrors or glass lenses to focus visible light as it comes in through the aperture. There are two main types of optical telescopes, reflectors and refractors. Radio telescopes are used to study much longer wavelengths than visible light.
