The electronegativity difference between carbon and fluorine is about 1.431.43 (pauling scale), 1.6491.649(allen scale). The electronegativity difference between carbon and chlorine is about 0.610.61(pauling scale), 0.3250.325 (allen scale). Although, the electronegativity difference of C−FC−F bond is greater than electronegativity difference of C−ClC−Clbond, dipole moment of C−ClC−Cl bond (1.8601.860Debye) in CH3−ClCH3−Cl is greater than dipole moment of C−FC−F bond (1.8471.847 Debye) in CH3−FCH3−F, why?

dpkdevnani5p63hs6: please provide me the answer proper.. its pauling electronegativity
tusharmishra1: u search in google
dpkdevnani5p63hs6: well i know that google is there...u must not have answered then
tusharmishra1: what
