what is the direction of electric field on the surface of charged conductor.​

perpendicular to the surface.

if it was in any other direction it would have tangential component to the surface which would cause surface currents for no reason,i.e you would get free current without doing any work. this violates laws of physics. so it has to be perpendicular to the surface
