What is the direction of magnetic field inside the coil if the current passed from N to S through the coil ?

When a current passes through coil, the direction of magnetic field at center is along the axis of coil. At the other points of coil inside and beyond the magnetic field is small and appears to diverge.

When the current flows through the solenoid in the clockwise direction, then the magnetic lines of force inside or at center of the coil will be along the axis inwards according to right hand thumb rule
