Amperometry refers to the measurement of current under a constant voltage that is applied.

Under these conditions, it is the concentration of analyte which can determine the magnitude of current.

It is widely applicable than Polarography and Potentiometry.

This process is widely used for determining sulfate which could not be accurately determined by the Potentiometric method.
