distance b/w x and y

            = square root of [(-3-1)^2 +(6-2)^2]

            = square root of [(-4)^2 + (4)^2]

            = square root of [16+16]

            = 4 root 2

distance between the origin and the midpoint

                                =4 root 2 / 2

                                =2 root 2

                                = 2*1.41

                                = 2.82 unit
