therefore, using distance formula,we get,

 \sqrt{x1 { } ^{2}  + y1 {}^{2}  + z1 {}^{2} }

then,

 \sqrt{a {}^{2}  + ( - b) {}^{2}  + ( - 4) {}^{2} }

=

 \sqrt{a {}^{2} + b {}^{2}   + 16}

=

 \sqrt{a \times a + b \times b + 4 \times 4}

a + b + 4
