The cells of multi cellular performs a specific work according to their shape and size. The cell organelles namely Mitochondria, Endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus etc are specialised in doing some specific work. They have a division of lavour. In such case excretion is done by some organelle while transporting g is done by some other organelle.
While in a unicellular organism we cannot find division of labour, that means all the work is done by the same cell

Cells are organized to form tissues which make organ and organ system. A cell is an autonomous structure which is capable of carrying out functions on its own. Hence division of labour is essential to carry out different functions for increased efficiency and higher survival.
