echo is the reflection of a sound from a distant obstacle after the original sound has ceased to act . For distinct echo intensity of sound has to be large so that it can travel through air . the time difference between original sound and echo should be atleast 0.1 seconds. The distance between the reflector and the observer should be atleast 17 m and the size of reflector should be larger than the wavelength of sound
