The answer of the question lies in the Le Chatlier Principle which was discovered by the scientist to understand the equilibrium reactions.

(1) If we increase the concentration of dihydrogen , the equilibrium will shift in that direction in which it's concentration can be reduced .

so the equilibrium will shift in forward direction.

(2) If we decrease or remove the concentration of CO , it will move in the direction in which it's concentration is getting increased . Thus ,the equilibrium will shift in backward reaction.
