What is the effect of an aqua solution of sodium carbonate on Blue Litmus solution

no colour changes Mein locker because sodium carbonate can react with water to form Sodium Hydroxide which is a base and a compound of basic nature does not turn blue litmus red

No change in colour will be there. But, in case there is RED litmus paper then the colour will change from RED TO BLUE.
