EFFECT OF CHANGE IN TEMPERATURE:

When there is a change in temperature the equilibrium gets disturbed.

To regain the equilibrium the reaction will proceed either in the forward or in the backward direction.

LOWER THE TEMPERATURE = EXOTHERMIC REACTION

HIGHER THE TEMPERATURE = ENDOTHERMIC REACTION

EFFECT OF CHANGE IN PRESSURE:

When there is change in pressure the equilibrium gets disturbed so as to re-attain the equilibrium . It will shift in the following ways:-

INCREASE IN PRESSURE = LESS NUMBER OF MOLES

DECREASE IN PRESSURE = MORE NUMBER OF MOLES
