what is the effect of DNA copying which is not perfectly accurate on the reproduction process?
Answers
Answer:
DNA copying is not perfectly accurate, it possesses some variations every time because no biochemical process is reliable during reproduction. DNA coples are never identical, they hold some similarities as well s some variations every time. It is this characteristic of DNA which results in process of evolution. DNA is the source of information for making proteins and remains constant. The cells use chemical reactions and produces a copy of the DNA which results in creation of two DNA copies As a result, the DNA copies generated will be similar but may not be identical to the original. Thus, the surviving new born cells are similar to but subtly different from each other. This inbuilt tendency for variation during reproduction is the basic for evolution. DNA remains constant. The DNA in the cell nucleus is the information source for making proteins. The basic event in reproduction is the creation of a DNA copy. Cells use chemical reactions to build copies of their "DNA" This creates two copies of the DNA which are separated from each other. DNA copies have individual cellular apparatus for life processes.

Answer:
The DNA copying which is not perfectly accurate in the reproduction process results in variations in populations for the survival of species. If the variation are more drastic then the DNA will not be able to function properly leading to the death of the cell.
