what is the effect of the inclined axis of the Earth on day and night

The earth's axis is inclined to one side as a result of which one pole of the earth is always tilted to one side. Either the north pole or the south pole is tilted towards the sun. We know that the part facing the sun is having day whereas the other part having night.
