we know that:
volume of cube = a³
where, a is the side or length of edge of cube.
So, here
if the length of edges of cube is halved
=> side of cube = a / 2
=> volume = (a/2)³
= a³ / 2³
= a³ / 8
Hence
when the edge length is halved then the volume of cube become 1/8 of the volume before.
