Whenever there is a chance in the magnetic field associated with a conductor and induced potential difference in setup at the ends of the conductor which lasts as long as the change in magnetic field is taking place. Due to this, potential difference and electric current starts flowing from higher potential to lower potential. This phenomenon of generation of electric current in a circuit is called as Electromagnetic Induction.
