What is the equation for finding the acceleration of an object
moving in a straight line?

Not me using this website cause I don't wanna do my weekend homework but need extra points.

The acceleration a(t) of a moving object is given by the derivative of the velocity function v(t). Find the acceleration of the object at time t=5 seconds if v(t)=12tsquared+8t meters per second.

This will be abbreviated as m/s2. It is also commonly abbreviated as ms−2. For example, if the velocity of a particle moving in a straight line changes uniformly (at a constant rate of change) from 2 m/s to 5 m/s over one second, then its constant acceleration is 3 m/s2.
