 \sf{ \underline{SOLUTION}}

TO DETERMINE

The equation of the line that passes through the points (15, 9) and ( - 2, 9)

EVALUATION

Here the given two points are

A(15, 9) and B( - 2, 9)

For the point A(15, 9)

Abscissa = 15 & Ordinate = 9

For the point B(15, 9)

Abscissa = - 2 & Ordinate = 9

Since the ordinate of both points

are same ( = 9)

So the required line is parallel to x axis

So the equation of the line is of the form

y = b

Since the line passes through

the point ( 15, 9)

Therefore b = 9

Hence the equation of the required line is

y = 9
