Answer:

Note that the ratio 2 to 6 is said to be equivalent to the ratio 1 to 3, that is 2:6 = 1:3. Note also that a fraction is a number that stands for "part of something".

Given:

We have given a ratio of the number which is 2:6.

To Find:

We have to find the equivalent pairs?

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Ratio:

        Two numbers or two quantity  are siad to be in ratio if there is an

        comparision between them.

  • Equivalent ratio:

       Two or more ratios are said to be equivalent or same when the

       simplified form of the ratio is same

  • Simplified form of ratio:

       An ratio is said to be simplified which the GCD of the denomenator

        and the numerator term is 1.

  •  Now we have the ratio is 2:6 since we can simplify it futher and write it as,Hence, the simplified form is given by

               \frac{2}{6} =\frac{1}{3}

  •  We can find the similiar ratios of given ratio by multiplying the denomenator and the numerator with the same number we get

          \frac{2}{6} =\frac{1}{3} =\frac{2\times3}{6\times3} =\frac{6}{18}

Hence the equivalent ratios are 1:3 and 6:18.
