what is the equivalent resistance of the network between points A and B is Resistance is of the value r(please explain)

If we consider branches between A and B, then the (2 Ω and 2 Ω) resistors are in series. Also, the (1 Ω, 2 Ω and 4 Ω) resistors are in series. These two series combinations are in parallel with the 3 Ω resistor.

Thus, the net resistance between A and B is
