The following is the extent of the Northern Plains:

1. It extends towards south from the Kashmir.

2. It is extended between Punjab plains and Aravali hills.

3. It covers the states of Haryana, Punjab, U.P. Bihar and West Bengal.

4. The Northern Plains are stretched to the tip of Gujrat Plains.

5. Extended from Himalayan foothills to Bangladesh in East.
