Given:

15a and 12a^2b

To Find:

what is the factored form?

Solution:

When an expression or number is written in the form of two or more factors then is termed factorization.

An expression in an equation with two or variables and the products of these expressions is termed as the factor for the expression.

We are given two expressions that are

(i) 15a

When factorizing this expression we will do it with both the number and the variable, so which will be,

15a=3*5*a

(ii) 12a^2b

When factorizing this expression we will do it with both the number and the variable, so which will be,

12a^2b=2*2*3*a*a*b

Hence, the factored form of  15a and 12a^2b is 3*5*a and 2*2*3*a*a*b respectively.
