Here it goes :-

The generation obtained by the fusion of homozygous parents of $F_{1}$ progeny is first filial generation.

Let us understand this with an example :-

In the monohybrid cross, consider the two parents having  hamozygous genes TT and tt  , i.e.

                                              TT                                                      tt

                                               ↓                                                        ↓

Gamete formation :-              T                                                         t

Cross fertilisation :-                                              Tt  

This is first filial generation obtained by the fusion between the homozygous parents with characters varying TT and tt.
