Newton's first law of motion - sometimes referred to as the law of inertia. Newton's first law of motion is often stated as. An object at rest stays at rest and an object inmotion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.

According to first law of motion :- it states that an object at rest remains at rest, an object in uniform motion remains in uniform motion until or unless an external force is applied on it.

Hope it helps you.
