what is the force of gravity on body of mass 50 kg lying on 100 km away from the earth

➞    Mass of the unit volume of the substance is called its density. Hence, density = mass / volume.

➞    We know that, mass of earth is 6 × 10^24 kg. Hence, the direct value substituting.

➞      Gravity Potential = mgh

➞      Hence, 50 × 9.8 × 100 = 4900 N. (The body has been assumed as to be 100 km away from earth surface.)
