pH is the negative logarithm of concentration of hydronium ions in aqueous solution.

pH = - log[H₃O⁺]

First we have to know the concentration of H⁺ ions or hydronium ions [H₃O⁺] in the solution, then we can calculate the pH.
To know the pOH we can simply do  14 - pH.
