Answer:

hiii,

Area of Plane Shapes

Triangle Area = ½ × b × h b = base h = vertical height Square Area = a2 a = length of side

Rectangle Area = w × h w = width h = height Parallelogram Area = b × h b = base h = vertical height

Area is calculated by multiplying the length of a shape by its width. In this case, we could work out the area of this rectangle even if it wasn't on squared paper, just by working out 5cm x 5cm = 25cm² (the shape is not drawn to scale).

Formulas to find Area of a some shapes are :

1) Area Of Triangle = 1/2 (base) (height)

2) Area Of Square = (length)^2

3) Area Of Rectangle = (length) ( breadth)

4) Area Of Rhombus/parallelogram = 1/2 (diagonal 1) (diagonal 2)

5)Area Of Trapezium = 1/2 (sum of parallel sides) (height)
