Concept:

We recall the concept of prism to answer this question.

In geometry, Prism is a polyhedron with n sided  polygon base and all the n faces being parallelograms.

To find:

Lateral surface area of prism

Solution:

Lateral surface area  of an object or shape is the area of the lateral surface,  i.e., all of the sides of the object excluding its base and top.

Hence, Lateral surface area of right triangular  prism =ah+bh+ch

                                                                           = (a+b+c)h

                                                                          = perimeter of base×height

                                                                              of prism

where a ,b ,c are the bases of rectangular faces and h is the height of prism and perimeter of base(triangle) =a+b+c
