In the poem “The Frog and the Nightingale”, the frog started singing in his unpleasant croaked voice. He believed that his voice was as sweet as the nightingale’s and wanted to balance the absence of the nightingale by his singing.

He determined that he should not stop singing until the Nightingale comes and continues. His disgusting voice was hated by other creatures and they showed their disgust by throwing bricks and stones at the frog. He was insulted by everyone around him. But, the frog sang day and night and determined not to stop singing though he faced any kind of insults.
