The full form of the COVID-19 is Coronavirus Disease 2019.
• The coronavirus infection is now a global pandemic in the present situation (as written on the 3rd April,2020).
• The WHO or the World Health Organization,gave a name for the infection caused by coronavirus and that name is COVID-19.
• Here,the 'CO' stands for 'corona' ; 'VI' stands for 'virus' and 'D' stands for 'disease'. The number 19 is used because,the coronavirus infection was first observed in the end portion of the year 2019. (2019 is shortened as 19)
